Air Technologies® helped Melin Tool Company, a Cleveland end mill, drill and solid cutting tools manufacturer, increase plant productivity and receive almost $8,000 in first-year savings.

Over time as Melin Tool’s production continued to increase, its compressor system was not able to keep up with plant demands, and it was often running out of air. The company needed professional insight and an expert solution to achieve maximum production efficiency.

The new variable speed drive air compressor was installed and set to meet Melin Tool’s specific production and compressed air requirements, avoiding the inefficient transition period from full to no load and eliminating off load power consumption. Melin Tool was approved for a $4,000 rebate from the power company, ultimately increasing Melin Tool’s first year energy cost savings to $8,000.
